This has been and still is Haiti's problem.
What should be the official language of the country? This controversy has earned Haiti the first place in Analphabetism.
Scientific investigations have found that alphabetization should occur in the first language (L1) of the speakers.
And we still want to alphabetize haitians in French when their first language is Creole.
Learning to read in Creole will facilitate transferring to another language, be it French, English or Spanish.
Let's do Haiti a favor.
Let's start alphabetizing Haitians in Creole.
One hundred per cent (!00%) of haitians speak Creole.Only 1/2 of 10% of Haitians is fluent in French.
Come down to reality!
