How do you figure you've had it bad just by "being black" in America??? I am white and have just as much a struggle as anyone else.
I have been a single parent for 15 years...
struggling EVERY day! My exhusband is a deadbeat dad so I get no help from him, I don't have a degree, but I have a decent job with benefits so I don't qualify for government assistance.
My son is a senior in high school this year and won't quality for much financial aid (if any) because I make too much to be "poor" and just enough to get by. I'm so sick of the reverse discrimination, and the victim mentality! You have not had it bad by "being black" in America, if anything you've received more of an opportunity than anyone else, it's people with that attitude that keep discrimination at the surface of our society.
Anyway, I just stumbled upon this site helping my daughter with a project on Haiti, so I need to get back to that but couldn't go through my day without voicing that, so thanks for listening and before you let your reflex answer "bite back" please put some thought into what I've said.
Thanks and God Bless!
